This storage unit is great for storing and keeping different sizes of screws/nails/washers, etc. separated. When the top closes, it has special sections in the top that keep the separated compartments separate. In other words, you don't have to worry about everything jumping compartments and needing to reorganize the items every time you open it up. I haven't found a more sturdy and useful portable organizer out there. I have 2, one for electrical parts and one for various screws and fasteners. I've used others but most have failed, usually due to cracked plastic hinges or clasps. Nothing more infuriating than having all of your small, carefully sorted parts sprawled out on the floor because the organizer lid broke! The first ontainers I got was when I rebuilding a Honda motorcycle engine, needed something for all the small parts and this fit the bill. Years later I ended up with about a dozen containers which work real well, I stack them on a rack that I built and label the handles with a generic title,metric hardware,wood screws,etc. I found out that Stanley is stopping production of these containers and that Amazon is the only vendor that had this particular size.
