Tools and Hardware Reviews of Stanley Consumer Storage 014725R 25 Removable Compartment Professional OrganizerCustomer Review: More than just a storage organizer Summary: 5 StarsWhat's really nice about this storage container is you can pull out a bin of screws or nails and carry it with you instead of having to bring the whole organizer. I've been to all the big name hardware stores, and they no longer carry this type of organizer. I'm glad Amazon carries them.
Customer Review: Most practical container I could find! Summary: 5 StarsI have many of these containers, they are more practical than any other solution I have ever seen/used. There are two main features which I value highly about these:
1) The portability of the unit. It won't be long before you will need to take your screws/nails... to the site of your project, the backyard, the garage... The lid is strong enough to not flex too much and the doubled walls between bins help prevent parts from hoping bins or getting lodged between them and the lid during transport. It's not perfect, some will still do this, but it's better than any other product I have used, except for completely separate bins with separate lids, but that's a pain.
2) The ability to remove individual bins. This allows you to rearrange the placement of the parts, even more valuable when you have several of these units because then you can easily reorganize or even temporarily put together parts for a task. Moveable walls are the alternative, but then parts get stuck under them and it really only allows you to change the size of the bins, not reorganize them! The other major, often overlooked advantage of the removable bins, especially for the smaller ones, is the ability to easily dump the contents out. With other non-removable types it is sometimes really hard to get your fingers in and remove small screws or, nails, simply dump them and put back what you don't use.
If there were one thing I would improve, it would be to make some units with even more smaller bins, the smaller ones seem to be more valuable if your a bit anal about organizing things. :)
Customer Review: Perfect for LEGO storage Summary: 5 StarsI bought 4 of these to sort and store my son's Lego. I couldn't be more pleased with it's quality.
Customer Review: Nice Box - Studiply Expensive. Summary: 3 StarsI have about twelve of these things - the big ones too. I do carpentry & electrical and they are excellent for sundry hardware. They close well. And hold the contents fairly securely. The clasps are strong and I haven't had any of them break on me yet.
The only thing wrong with these boxes is their price. They should be $10 bucks MAX. I use them for my work and I'm kind of an organizer freak. But with all that said, each time I buy one of these things I know I'm getting screwed. Sadly, most similarly purposed boxes simply do not cut the mustard. And this one is serviceable.
Customer Review: Great storage organizer! Summary: 5 StarsI have a smaller version of this and was looking for this model but it is difficult to find. I even called Stanley and they told me other than those already ordered, they planned to discontinue it. So when it finally was in stock at Amazon I bought 4 and couldn't be more pleased! I use them for all sorts of screws, bolts, nuts, and lots of little things that don't have a home in the house! The clasps engage extremely well, and the compartments can be taken out if you happen to be using alot of one particular part.
